January 30, 2019 - Under the patronage of His Excellency Dr. Jawad Awwad, the Minister of Health, PNIPH organizes the first national conference on neonatal health

"For a Healthy Newborn," in cooperation with the World Health Organization and the Ministry of Health in Palestine.

The conference comes after PNIPH's assessment of neonatal health care services at Palestinian hospitals in the West Bank and Gaza in 2018. Key stakeholders and policy makers in the sector attended the event including Mrs. Helde Haraldstad, the Norwegian Representative to the Palestinian Authority, Dr. Asad Ramlawi, the Deputy Minister of health, heads of directorates and relevant departments at the Ministry of Health, representatives from Palestinian hospitals and universities, and other organizations working in the health sector.

The conference gave key actors in the sector the chance to discuss development opportunities and relevant policies, as well as the technical, social, and economic impact of neonatal health in Palestine.
